Chemical-free Transitional Living
Transitional Living is offered to allow clients to move into a safe environment upon completion of a residential treatment program. The primary purpose of transitional living is to give the client structure and stability and to allow them to build a foundation of recovery. Clients are permitted to participate in transitional living for up to two years. The goal by the end of this time is that the client will be strong enough in their recovery to leave transitional living to live a life free of substances. While in transitional living, the client is required to attend outpatient treatment; however, the client can continue to live in transitional living after completing treatment. At that time, it is up to the Transitional Living Coordinator to monitor the clients behavior and continues to assess if the client needs to resume a treatment program at any time.
